  (11:28 am) Merry Christmas

"I choose free libraries as the best agencies for improving the masses of the people, because they give nothing for nothing. They only help those who help themselves."
- Andrew Carnegie

Libraries, a gift from each of us given to all us; an act of faith that man has the ability to improve himself when given the opportunity, regardless of whether he is rich or poor, black or white, sinner or saint; a moral statement that the burden is on each of us to make our own first steps toward the pursuit of happiness. Merry Christmas and may your New Year’s Resolution be to renew that pursuit and never be afraid of taking those first steps.

Interesting post by Mark Levin on The Corner. His link isn't working but he had posted it before and here's the right one. Its one of those things you knew probably happened but never gave it much thought. In a way its all just noise so who cares? The obvious difference between this and the current wiretap flap is that the wiretaps are targeted. But hey, if your phone number shows up in the records of someone we're at war with is a warrant really required? We're not talking acts of crime here. We're talking acts of war.
